Welcome to Saint Paul's Episcopal Church.....Please visit our "News and Events" page and also our brand new "News from the Pews" page to view upcoming events, services and serving schedules.
You have found Saint Paul's Episcopal Church's website and although we are a very historically sound congregation dating back to 1790, we are quite new to the internet.
Our Sunday services are at 8:00 am and 10:00 am, with Sunday School being held during the 10 am service. The children do process into the church at Communion time. We are very centrally located in Bloomsburg, PA, right on Main Street where it intersects with Iron Street. Parking is convienent on Main Street or in one of the Municipal Parking lots surrounding the Main Street shopping district.
At the present time, Father David S. Bateman is our Rector. He has been with us since August and is helping us through the many steps required as we begin our permanent rector discernment process.
Please feel free to stop by and say "hello" or join us for our Sunday Service.
The Metropolitian Opera will be beamed into Bloomsburg again this year with live performances aired at the Digiplex Cinema Center from now until the spring. Before each one, former Bloomsburg University professor Bill Decker (a Saint Paul's member) will introduce each show with a brief lecture. March 1st---------Prince Igor
April 5th-----------La Boheme
April 26th------Cosi Fan Tutte
May 14th------La Cenerentola
The live shows cost $24 per person, $22 for seniors and $18 for children 11 and under. The theater will also replay each show at 6:30 pm the Wednesday following the live broadcast. Tickets to those replays cost $18 for everyone.
Dear Parishioners...We the Vestry members have been preparing for our 2014 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN. This year we are hoping for 100% participation with every household in Saint Paul's Parish participating. To this end the Stewardship committee members have prepared a large thermometer to track our progress as we move forward through November. Our Stewardship Campaign has been under way with the theme this year titled "Blessed to Be a Blessing". Once again, we are aiming for a one hundred percent parishioner participation in this campaign and we will be asking each parishioner tp prayerfully consider their contribution, no matter the dollar amount. We have come so far since 2008 when we tackled the Capital Campaign and exceeded our goal by thousands of dollars, that we are sure that everyone will once again step up and pledge whatever percent their budget allows.
UPDATE... AS OF SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2013, WE HAVE SOLD 85 BOOKLETS...THIS MEANS WE HAVE EARNED $425.00 FOR SAINT PAUL'S.
